We took my parents and Kaleb to see the bats under the Congress Ave. bridge. They're crazy. At dusk, it's like there's this signal, and suddenly they all come out in hordes of bat-ness. They all follow the same path into the sky. You can hear them squeaking under the bridge until the appointed time (you can also smell them, something my mom wasn't too impressed by). We even saw a bird go swooping into the bat trail and pick a bat out of the air. It was awesome!

You can also take a
cruise on Lady Bird Lake and watch the bats from the water.

One of the cool (and free) things to do in Austin, TX!
