On our own

When my parents and Kaleb left, I was very sad. So Brian took me to the Lone Star State Jam at Waterloo Park sponsored by the Young Texans Against Cancer. We wanted to take Willie, so we set up shop outside the fence, and that turned out way better than had we bought tickets to go in. Most of my favorite Texas country music artists were in the line-up:
Cory Morrow (my absolute favorite)
Aaron Watson (he's very faith-based and won't write anything he can't sing to his grandma)
Wade Bowen, Bleu Edmondson, Roger Creager, and the Randy Rogers Band.

We took a picnic and set up shop out on the hill in the park and spent the whole day out there listening to some good ol' Texas country music.

This was some homeless man who was carrying the Texas flag around the whole park the whole day. He's dressed in black (and it was hotter than fish grease out there) and carrying that flag. He was really into it. The back of his shirt read, "I really think there R 2 B a Mr. Johnny Cash Day." I thought it was a cool picture. The capitol is right behind the flag; you can see it just under the middle part of the red.

As the day wore on, the inside got more and more crowded. I sure am glad we stayed on the outside.
